Sangoma Unified Mobile App
Sangoma Technologies is a communications technology company that provides unified communications solutions, including cloud-based phone systems (UCaaS), contact centers (CCaaS), SIP trunking, and collaboration tools for businesses.
The Unified Mobile App combines several of Sangoma's existing communication apps into one single mobile application.
Project Overview
Collaborating with one other designer, I was involved in the entire design lifecycle of the project, including research, conceptualization, design and user testing.
Date: 2025
Tools: Figma, Miro, Jira, Adobe Illustrator

Background
Sangoma's current mobile app ecosystem is fragmented across multiple communication modalities (voice, video, chat, SMS) and on two different desktop platforms, resulting in a disjointed user experience, reduced adoption rates, and diminished competitive positioning in the UCaaS market.
The new unified mobile app, Sangoma TeamHub, addresses this fragmentation by consolidating all the functionalities into a single, modern, and feature-rich platform.

Product roadmapping
In a deep dive with the product owner, the Chief Technical Officer and the development team, we mapped out a product roadmap that addresses the technical complexities of conslidating multiple existing applications into one platform.
We discovered a phased approach that began with combining Sangoma Chat and Talk, then adding in SMS, followed by Sangoma Meet.

A detailed competitor analysis was done for all of the applications, including Chat, Talk, SMS and Meet.

We explored various navigation patterns and mapped out the UX architecture of the app before creating mid-fidelity designs.

As the wireframes moved up to high-fidelity designs,
we created a design system for the app.

We conducted user testing with mobile-optimized prototypes. Several pain points involving navigation and copy lead to design iterations.

Our app is pending launch…
